About Courtney Havelind

I’m a Christ centered, trauma-informed therapist with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I graduated both programs with honors. Prior to becoming a counselor, I was an investigator with the State of Arizona, where I investigated the abuse of vulnerable adults in the Adult Protective Services division. During that time, I found my passion for helping individuals and families who have experiences trauma.
As a Christian, I know that all things are possible through Christ. Therefore, my focus as a counselor is to help my clients heal from past wounds and find their peace through Him. With that, I take a holistic approach that focuses on the mind, body, soul, and spirit. I am trained in a variety of methods to meet the needs of all clients. I specialize in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and combine it with other approaches including Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Theory, Motivational Interviewing, Sand Tray, and Play Therapy.
I’m a wife, mother of three amazing children, and a dog mom. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family. We like to travel, explore new places, cook, and a take part in a variety of outdoor activities together.
